RAF Lossiemouth to pull out of league
The North Region Junior Football Association are disappointed to announce that RAF Lossiemouth have decided to withdraw from Junior football for the remainder of the season.
Club Secretary Jim Crabb said: “Due to an ever increasing Operational requirement at RAF Lossiemouth; with preparation for Afghanistan Deployments, Exercises, overseas detachments in support of Operation Herrick Afghanistan, not to mention our continued 24/7 Operations on Station, we have found it increasingly difficult to field teams.”
North Region Secretary Richard Easton said: “While it is disappointing that RAF Lossiemouth have decided to withdraw from the league for the remainder of the 2012/2013 season, we completely understand their reasons for doing so, and we sincerely hope that they can return for the 2013/2014 season.
“Subsequently, their league fixtures will now be voided, while any club who were drawn against RAF Lossiemouth in cup competitions, will be given a bye into the next round.”
