Dyce appoint Tom McPherson

Former Sunnybank boss is back in the game.

Dyce Juniors have appointed Tom McPherson as their new manager.

The former Parkvale, Sunnybank and Banchory St Ternan boss who replaces Andy Milne who stepped down last week, will be assisted by Andy Robb and David Neish.

Speaking after his appointment, Tom told the Dyce Website;

"I am delighted to be joining Dyce, who have always been a well run club. I want to bring success to Ian Mair Park, and firstly must say Andy Milne did a tremendous job to take the club from the lower division to an established top 4 Super League side. I dont want to make any big statements but obviously my ambition has to be winning the Super League title with Dyce. There is a good squad here, and if I can improve on it with a few new faces I feel we will be able to mount a serious challenge in coming seasons. It may not be possible this season but I aim to have us finishing as high as possible in the league, and we still have the Regional Cup to play for. Ultimately winning the league would be an ideal tribute to president Norman Mackay, who has given so much to the club. Such long serving stalwarts are diminishing from the game and it would be great to lead the team to a title for him. I am now looking forward to working with the players, ensuring they bond well and hopefully can take them to the next level on the pitch."
