Dufftown are to take a year out of Junior football.

The Moray club have cited their inability to find a manager as their main reason for withdrawing from the First Division for the coming season.

North Region Secretary Richard Easton said: "It is very disappointing that Dufftown have taken this decision.

"I tried to persuade them to change their mind but they have decided to go down this route and we have to respect that."

Dufftown's place in the First Division will now be taken by either Buckie Rovers or Nairn St Ninian, who will meet in a play-off which will take place at Burghead Thistle's Forest Park on Friday 3rd August at 7pm.
